Join the RNA Mentor Program
RNA’s mentor program is an excellent opportunity for learning and networking is included in your full member benefits. We pair members who have years of experience with emerging journalists or newcomers to RNA to provide support, guidance and advice.
Applications are due by Monday, September 11, 2023 Friday, October 6.
This year’s program starts in mid October and concludes in October 2024.
The program can be tailored to fit anyone's schedule and how you prefer to connect. There are no geographic boundaries in this global program. Time commitment is based on your needs, but we recommend one hour a month.

Talking through questions about one's work environment or navigating a career in religion reporting
Workshopping freelance pitches
Developing deeper connections and learning from the other person's experience
Participation
Who is a mentor? Veteran journalists. You can be in print, audio or video. You can be an independent journalist or be full-time at a news outlet. We're looking for people with experience in the field.
Who is a mentee? Emerging journalists (i.e. early career or switching careers or media); student journalists; journalists who need help with a new facet of religion reporting (such as creating a podcast or investigative reporting); or newcomers to RNA.
