Palestinian Christian Alliance for Peace condemns Israel’s unprovoked attack on Iran

Expresses deep concern for all innocent lives in the Middle East

WASHINGTON — The Palestinian Christian Alliance for Peace (PCAP) unequivocally condemns the recent unprovoked military attack by the State of Israel on the sovereign nation of Iran. This grave violation of international law not only threatens regional and global stability but endangers innocent lives across the Middle East—including those of vulnerable Christian communities in Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and beyond.

This act of aggression, carried out without legitimate provocation or legal justification, represents a reckless escalation with potential for catastrophic consequences. As a community of Palestinian Christians committed to justice, reconciliation, and nonviolence, we view this assault as a direct threat to peace in the region, to international norms, and to the sanctity of all human life.

“We are deeply alarmed not only by the immediate violence but also by the long-term implications for all people of the region, including our Christian sisters and brothers in the Holy Land,” said Philip Farah, Board Co-Chair of PCAP. “Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has all but erased the presence of the 2000-year-old Palestinian Christian community in Gaza, and Israel’s apartheid regime and its intensifying warmongering are threatening the viability of the remaining indigenous Christian community in the Holy Land.”

The Holy Land—birthplace of Christianity—has long been a mosaic of diverse faiths and cultures. Yet repeated cycles of violence and unchecked militarism continue to erode the fragile fabric of these communities. The current escalation threatens to widen that damage, making peace more elusive than ever.

PCAP calls on:

– The international community to condemn Israel’s unilateral aggression and demand an immediate ceasefire and de-escalation of hostilities.

– The U.S. government to stop all military support for Israel, including the vast majority of arms shipments without which Israel cannot conduct its bloody wars on the Palestinians, Iran and other countries across the Middle East.

– The United Nations to ensure accountability for Israeli violations of Iran’s sovereignty and human rights.

– Churches and people of faith worldwide to raise their voices against violence and injustice, and to stand in solidarity with those working toward peace rooted in dignity, equality, and international law.

We remind the global Christian community that our faith calls us to be peacemakers, to uphold truth, and to protect the oppressed. As followers of Christ, we cannot remain silent in the face of war and injustice. The path to peace is not paved with missiles and military might, but with justice, compassion, and moral courage.
